We are excited to have launched the Thermal Zones! There is a lot of thermal energy collection that occurs across the US. While much of this is occurring on public lands, few people are able to discover the “who,” “what,” and “where” of public thermal energy claims. Though this is a matter of public record, we aim to make it a matter of a simple search to answer all these questions and more!
You may be aware of certain thermal energy collection activity that you do not find on Thermal Zones. Most likely, this is because that collection is taking place on private land and not under management of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). All the data that we display is managed and released by the BLM.
We hope to see you again soon. Like everything else, there is a major element of time in these claims. New claims open. Old claims close. Desirable claims may change hands.
